Role Overview
As the Director of Respiratory Therapy, you will spearhead the development and implementation of innovative respiratory care programs that enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with deep clinical expertise in respiratory therapy, capable of guiding a team of dedicated professionals in delivering exceptional patient care across diverse settings.
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee respiratory therapy programs to ensure the highest standard of care for patients with respiratory conditions
- Lead and mentor a team of respiratory therapists, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate respiratory therapy practices into holistic patient care plans
- Implement evidence-based protocols and guidelines to improve clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction

- Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in respiratory care technology and practices

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field
- Minimum of 7 years of clinical experience in respiratory therapy, with at least 3 years in a leadership role
- Current licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
- Strong knowledge of respiratory therapy protocols, equipment, and best practices
- Demonstrated ability to lead and manage complex projects within a healthcare setting
Preferred:
- Experience in program development and implementation in a healthcare organization
- Clinical specialty certifications (e.g., RRT, CPFT, RPFT)
- Proven track record of improving patient outcomes through innovative respiratory care practices
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise with respiratory care technologies, including ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP devices, and nebulizers
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and data management tools
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and their integration into respiratory therapy
