Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Chief Nuclear Medicine Technologist to lead our nuclear medicine department at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities

- Develop and implement policies and procedures to optimize imaging workflows and enhance service delivery.
- Oversee the procurement and maintenance of nuclear medicine equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.
- Mentor and train staff technologists in advanced nuclear medicine techniques and protocols, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate imaging protocols and assist in interpreting results to support patient diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Stay abreast of advancements in nuclear medicine technologies and incorporate innovative practices into departmental operations.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field.
- Current certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) from a recognized board.
- 7+ years of experience in nuclear medicine, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- In-depth knowledge of nuclear medicine procedures, radiopharmaceuticals, and imaging equipment.
- Strong understanding of regulatory standards and safety protocols.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with advanced imaging technologies, such as PET/CT and SPECT.
- Proven experience in quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in operating and maintaining nuclear medicine imaging equipment, including gamma cameras and PET scanners.
- Proficiency in radiation safety practices and patient safety protocols.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and radiology information systems (RIS).
