Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Regional Camp Director to oversee the operations of our summer camp programs across multiple locations. This role is integral in shaping the camp experience, ensuring safety, and delivering high-quality programming that aligns with our mission to foster leadership, teamwork, and personal development in youth.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of camp programs, ensuring they meet organizational standards and provide enriching experiences for all campers.
- Supervise and mentor camp staff, fostering a culture of professional development, teamwork, and community.
- Establish and maintain safety protocols and emergency procedures, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Manage budgets and resources for each camp location, ensuring financial sustainability and accountability.
- Communicate effectively with parents, campers, and staff, addressing any concerns and promoting a positive camp environment.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote camp programs and increase enrollment.
- Evaluate program effectiveness and implement improvements based on feedback and assessments.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in camp management or a related field, with a proven track record of leadership.
- Strong understanding of youth development principles and camp programming.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- First Aid and CPR certification or the willingness to obtain prior to camp start.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Education, or a related field.
- Experience with budget management and resource allocation.
- Proficiency in conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with camp management software and tools for scheduling, communication, and registration.
- Basic knowledge of risk management practices and safety protocols.
