Role Overview
We are seeking a Principal Bugler to join our innovative ensemble, where you will play a crucial role in shaping the sound and style of our musical performances. As a Principal Bugler, you will leverage your expertise to lead the bugle section, mentor fellow musicians, and collaborate on arrangements that enhance our unique brand identity. Responsibilities
- Lead the bugle section, setting the standard for performance quality and artistic direction.
- Develop and arrange bugle parts that complement the overall musical vision, ensuring cohesion across sections.
- Mentor and guide junior buglers, fostering growth and excellence within the team.
- Collaborate with conductors and other musicians to refine arrangements and deliver outstanding performances.
- Participate in rehearsals, providing constructive feedback to enhance the overall sound and execution.

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of experience in playing the bugle or a similar brass instrument with a demonstrated history of excellence in performance.
- Proven experience in leading musical ensembles and collaborating with diverse groups of musicians.
- Strong proficiency in music theory and arrangement, with the ability to create compelling musical parts.
Preferred:
- Experience in conducting or directing musical groups.
- Familiarity with various musical genres and styles, particularly those that incorporate the bugle.
- Previous involvement in community outreach or educational programs related to music.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Advanced proficiency in bugle playing techniques, including tone production, articulation, and breath control.
- Ability to read and interpret complex musical scores.
- Experience with digital music production tools and software for arranging and composing.
