Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of professional experience as a piccoloist with a major orchestra or equivalent.
- Exceptional technical skill and musicality, with a proven track record of solo performances and orchestral leadership.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.
Preferred:
- Advanced degree in Music Performance or a related field.
- Experience in educational outreach and community engagement.
- Familiarity with modern repertoire and contemporary music practices.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in piccolo performance techniques, including advanced breath control and articulation.
- Knowledge of orchestral repertoire, including classical, contemporary, and world music.
- Experience with music notation software (e.g., Sibelius, Finale) for arranging and transcribing parts.
