Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Aviation Electronics Supervisor to lead our team in the maintenance and repair of sophisticated avionics systems. This role is critical in ensuring that our aircraft's electronic systems meet the highest standards of safety and performance, while also fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor a team of avionics technicians, providing guidance on troubleshooting, repair, and installation of electronic systems.
- Oversee the maintenance and inspection of avionics systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Develop and implement processes to enhance operational efficiency and reduce turnaround times on electronic repairs.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support aircraft modifications and upgrades, ensuring the successful integration of new technologies.
- Conduct performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities for team members.
- Manage inventory and procurement of electronic components to maintain optimal stock levels for repairs and maintenance.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in aviation electronics, with a strong background in avionics systems maintenance and repair.
- Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within an aviation environment.
- Strong knowledge of electronic systems, including communication, navigation, and radar systems.
- Ability to interpret schematics and technical manuals effectively.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Aviation Maintenance, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with modern avionics systems and technologies, including glass cockpit displays and satellite communication systems.
- Familiarity with safety management systems and quality assurance protocols.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in avionics systems troubleshooting and repair techniques.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment for electronic systems.
