Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Avionics Supervisor to join our forward-thinking team, specializing in the design, development, and maintenance of advanced avionics systems. In this pivotal role, you will oversee avionics engineering projects, ensuring compliance with stringent regulatory and safety standards while fostering innovation and efficiency within the team.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of avionics engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
- Manage the design, integration, and testing of avionics systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Oversee project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality avionics solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, systems engineers, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless integration of avionics systems.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members, identifying opportunities for professional development and training.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure system reliability and safety.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in avionics engineering, with a proven track record in supervisory roles.
- In-depth knowledge of avionics systems, including navigation, communication, and flight control systems.
- Strong understanding of regulatory standards (e.g., FAA, EASA) and their application in avionics systems.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience with DO-178C and DO-254 compliance processes.
- Proficiency in avionics design tools and software (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink).
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Strong understanding of avionics hardware and software integration.
- Experience with data buses and communication protocols (ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553).
- Proficient in using simulation and modeling tools for avionics system design.
