We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Automotive Brake Technician to join our innovative team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee the brake service operations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of automotive braking systems, including hydraulic, pneumatic, and electronic systems
- Conduct detailed inspections and assessments of vehicle braking systems to identify issues and recommend appropriate repairs
- Mentor and train junior technicians on best practices in brake repair and maintenance
- Develop and implement efficient workflows to optimize productivity and minimize turnaround times
- Maintain detailed records of services performed and ensure accurate documentation of parts and labor
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience as an automotive technician, with a focus on brake systems
- ASE certification in brakes (A5) or equivalent certification
- Deep understanding of automotive brake systems, including diagnosis and repair techniques
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing a team
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
Preferred:
- Experience in a remote work environment, demonstrating self-motivation and discipline
- Familiarity with advanced diagnostic tools and equipment
- Knowledge of hybrid and electric vehicle braking systems
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and scan tools
- Experience with brake fluid analysis and diagnostics
- Ability to read and interpret technical service manuals and schematics
