- Lead and mentor a team of technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence.
- Conduct thorough inspections and perform preventive maintenance on brake systems to enhance vehicle safety and performance.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and resolve technical challenges.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed, adhering to company policies and compliance standards.
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation within the team.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in automotive repair, with a focus on brake systems and diagnostics.
- ASE certification in brakes (or equivalent) is mandatory.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop a high-performing team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail in diagnosing and repairing complex brake issues.
Preferred:
- Experience with hybrid and electric vehicle braking systems.
- Additional ASE certifications in other automotive areas are a plus.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in brake system diagnostics, including the use of diagnostic scan tools and equipment.
- Familiarity with hydraulic systems, electronic brake control modules, and anti-lock braking systems (ABS).
- Proficient in using shop management software for tracking repairs and inventory management.
