Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Apartment Manager to support the day-to-day operations of our residential community. In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing tenant satisfaction while ensuring that property functions smoothly. Your responsibilities will encompass administrative functions, tenant relations, and assisting with leasing processes, all while fostering a welcoming community atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Apartment Manager in managing the property, including overseeing maintenance requests, tenant inquiries, and community events
- Support leasing activities, including conducting property tours, processing applications, and preparing lease agreements
- Maintain accurate records of tenant information, finances, and property maintenance
- Ensure compliance with property regulations, policies, and procedures, while promoting a positive living environment
- Act as a liaison between tenants and management, addressing concerns and facilitating resolutions
- Contribute to the marketing efforts of the property to attract prospective tenants
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 1+ years of experience in property management, leasing, or a related field
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering strong relationships with tenants and vendors
- Proficient in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred:
- Experience in a customer service-oriented role
- Knowledge of local housing laws and regulations
- Familiarity with marketing and leasing strategies
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in property management software (e.g., Yardi, Buildium, AppFolio)
- Ability to leverage digital marketing tools for property promotion
- Understanding of basic financial management principles
