Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager to support the management of our diverse portfolio. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth operation of properties, enhancing tenant satisfaction, and contributing to the overall success of our property management team.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily operations of property management, including tenant relations, lease administration, and maintenance coordination
- Support the Property Manager in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and property upkeep
- Manage tenant inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally
- Coordinate maintenance requests and follow up with vendors to ensure timely completion of work
- Assist in marketing vacant properties and conducting property showings to prospective tenants
- Maintain accurate records of tenant communications, lease documents, and property-related transactions
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 1+ years of experience in property management or a related field
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred:
- Experience with residential property management
- Familiarity with local real estate laws and regulations
- Real estate license or certification is a plus
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in property management systems (e.g., Yardi, AppFolio, Buildium)
- Ability to analyze financial reports and budgets
- Knowledge of maintenance management software and tools
