Role Overview
We are seeking a Patient Access Manager to lead and optimize our patient access operations. This role is crucial in ensuring that patients have timely access to the healthcare services they need, while also driving efficiency in our operational processes. As a Patient Access Manager, you will collaborate across departments, implement best practices, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Lead the patient access team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability in service delivery
- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient access to services, including optimizing scheduling processes and reducing wait times
- Oversee the management of patient records and ensure compliance with healthcare regulations
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to enhance the patient experience and streamline access to care
- Conduct regular audits and analyses of access operations to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions
- Provide training and support to team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in patient access processes
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare operations, with a focus on patient access or similar functions
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance, including HIPAA
- Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop a team
Preferred:
- Experience in a managerial role within a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and patient management software
- Certification in healthcare management or related field
