Role Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Addiction Psychiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments for patients with addiction-related issues, formulating individualized treatment plans that address co-occurring mental health disorders
- Administer medication management, psychotherapy, and counseling services, employing a holistic approach to support patients in their recovery journeys
- Collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals, including psychologists, social workers, and addiction counselors, to ensure integrated care and optimal patient outcomes
- Monitor patient progress through regular follow-ups, adjusting treatment protocols as necessary to ensure efficacy and adherence
- Engage in community outreach and education initiatives to raise awareness about addiction and promote mental health resources
- Participate in clinical supervision and mentorship of psychiatric residents and other trainees, fostering a collaborative learning environment
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) with completion of residency in Psychiatry
- Board certification in Psychiatry, with subspecialty training or experience in Addiction Psychiatry

- Strong clinical skills with a deep understanding of addiction treatment modalities, including medication-assisted treatment (MAT)

- Familiarity with evidence-based therapies for addiction, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and motivational interviewing

Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and patient management
- Knowledge of pharmacological treatments for substance use disorders, including buprenorphine and naltrexone
- Familiarity with telepsychiatry platforms to engage patients remotely
