Role Overview
We are seeking a visionary and accomplished Chief of Geriatric Psychiatry to lead our specialized mental health services for the aging population. In this pivotal role, you will drive the strategic direction of our geriatric psychiatry program, ensuring the integration of evidence-based practices and innovative care models that enhance the quality of life for our patients.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and oversight for all geriatric psychiatric services, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with regulatory requirements
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives aimed at expanding service offerings and improving patient outcomes
- Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and nursing staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for geriatric patients, incorporating family and caregiver involvement
- Engage with community partners and stakeholders to promote awareness and access to geriatric mental health services

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- MD or DO degree with board certification in Psychiatry

- 10+ years of clinical experience in psychiatry, with a focus on geriatric populations
