UX Designer Cover Letter Examples

Dear Mr. Rossi,

I am excited to apply for the UX Designer position at Spotify. With a background in user-centered design, product strategy, and cross-disciplinary collaboration, I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to contribute to Spotify's mission of connecting creators and listeners through delightful, inclusive digital experiences. As an Italian designer who deeply values music and human-centered technology, I am motivated to help create features that enhance discovery and enjoyment for diverse global audiences.

Over the past 6 years I have worked across startups and established companies, including a two-year role at a Milan-based digital agency and a recent position at a remote product team that partnered with Adobe and Google integrations. I bring hands-on experience with Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, and InVision, as well as user research methods (moderated interviews, diary studies, and remote usability testing). At my last role I led a redesign of the mobile onboarding flow that reduced first-week churn by 18% and increased new-user activation by 22%. I also established a component-driven design system that decreased design-to-development handoff time by 30% and improved consistency across iOS and Android releases. In addition, I ran A/B tests and iterated on personalization UI that improved daily engagement for a target cohort by 14%.

Spotify's emphasis on personalization, cultural relevance, and accessibility strongly aligns with my approach to product design. I am particularly inspired by your work on personalized discovery and podcast experiences — areas where thoughtful UX can directly deepen user engagement and creator connection. I bring a collaborative mindset for working with product managers, engineers, data scientists, and content teams to translate user insights into measurable product outcomes. My experience designing for international audiences and ensuring WCAG-compliant interfaces will help support Spotify's commitment to inclusive experiences across markets including Italy and the broader EMEA region.

I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my mix of research-driven design, prototyping skills, and product-minded thinking can contribute to Spotify's continued growth and innovation. Thank you for considering my application — I am eager to bring my passion for music and user-centered design to your team and would be delighted to speak further in an interview.

Sincerely,
Luca Romano
