Position Overview:
We are looking for a Backend Developer to be part of the web commerce team that develops and supports the zenni.com web platform and related services. This position will be a valuable member of our team and is expected to provide senior level technical leadership for the ongoing development of the Oracle(ATG) Web Commerce framework and Microservice’s that we are building.

You can quickly learn new business domains, programming languages and technologies. You are always looking for answers and figuring out how s/w is currently being used to support business.
Essentials Duties
- Development of Oracle Web Commerce(ATG) applications and support.
- Develop and maintain microservice outside Oracle commerce
- Work with internal Business Analysts to collect and develop application requirements for added website functionality and improvements on existing applications.
- Interface with the UX design team to ensure appropriate design is being developed.
- Participate in ongoing development and discussions initiatives as directed by the Director of Software Engineering & Management team.
- Researches new technology and ideas to enhance website and commerce functions.
- Participate in code reviews and resolve security and vulnerability issues as they arise.
- Implement development best practices and standards.
- Perform RCA and recommend changes for the problem issue tickets
Minimum Qualifications
- 5+ years’ working experience on Oracle Web Commerce(ATG) version 11 or above.
- Strong OO programming skills and understanding of design patterns.
- Excellent J2EE design experience is a plus.
- Good knowledge of SQL and database fundamentals (Oracle, MySQL).
- Endeca Search and navigation experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of ecommerce best practices, frameworks and tools.
- Comfortable working in an agile/iterative development environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related experience.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical collaborators and stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and also with local and remote team members.
- Experience working with Atlassian suite of applications (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket).
- Strong project management skills; can change course if needed to get things done within short timeframes to meet aggressive deadlines.
- Self-starter with ability to learn quickly; able to thrive in an exciting, fast-paced environment.
