About the Role

We are seeking an exceptional IT Applications Engineer to join xAI’s mission to build and maintain Oracle EPM (Enterprise Performance Management) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) applications, supporting our vision of becoming the trusted global digital public square. In this role, you will develop, enhance, and support critical financial and operational systems, leveraging your expertise in Oracle E-Business Suite and cloud-based EPM solutions to drive efficiency and innovation. Ideal candidates are self-starters with strong technical and functional skills, passionate about fostering open dialogue, and committed to delivering impactful solutions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and nurture positive IT and internal customer relationships to support Oracle EBS and EPM suite applications and related integrations/interfaces.
  • Gather and analyze data to support business cases, proposed projects, and system requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Design complex functional and technical solutions for new business requirements, delivering high-quality, scalable enhancements.
  • Collaborate with domestic and international teams across various departments to identify and resolve application issues, implement system enhancements, and address new user requirements.
  • Develop test scripts and conduct in-depth testing of new functionality, including system and integration testing, to ensure robust post-implementation support.
  • Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives to address existing and potential problem areas in IT systems across the organization.
  • Write and optimize PL/SQL procedures, build and modify Oracle reports, and develop customizations to meet business requirements.
  • Serve as an application (functional and technical) and data expert, recommending best practices using Oracle EBS architecture while supporting existing functionality and implementing new projects.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle E-Business Suite R12.2 (or higher), including at least one full lifecycle implementation.
  • Proficiency in one or more Oracle EBS R12.2 modules, such as Financials (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, Subledger Accounting), Supply Chain Management (Purchasing, Order Management, Inventory, Advanced Pricing, Shipping Execution), or Manufacturing (Work in Process, Bill of Materials, Cost Management).
  • Expertise in SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Reports, XML Publisher, Oracle Workflows, and UNIX.
  • Experience with Oracle EBS R12 Order to Cash (O2C), Procure to Pay (P2P), and Record to Report (R2R) modules as a techno-functional expert.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based EPM product suites, including Financial Consolidation Close Cloud Service (FCCS), Account Reconciliation Cloud Service (ARCS), Oracle Enterprise Planning and Budgeting Cloud Service (EPBCS), Oracle Profitability and Cost Management (PCMCS), and Oracle Enterprise Data Management (EDM).
  • Proficiency in REST API, EPM Automate, and Groovy/Powershell scripting.
  • Strong ability to support users in building and maintaining Management Reports in Narrative Reporting (NR).
  • Solid understanding of accounting concepts, including intercompany eliminations and multi-currency consolidation processes.
  • Experience with Source Code Control (Git) and Project Tracking Systems (Jira).
  • Ability to work independently while engaging business users effectively.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset for working in a team environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with earlier Oracle EBS versions (e.g., R12.1.x, 11i).
  • Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) for enhanced system integration and performance.
  • Proven ability to recommend and implement best practices for Oracle EBS architecture.
  • Experience driving process improvements or automation in enterprise finance applications.
  • A passion for xAI’s mission to foster open dialogue and empower diverse perspectives.
  • A proactive, self-starting attitude with a touch of humor to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
