We are a global women's rights organization, passionately dedicated to creating a world where the rights of all women and girls are respected, valued, and realized. Since our journey began in 1989, we have been working in solidarity with feminist movements and women's rights organizations across the globe to bring about lasting and meaningful change. Our core belief is in the power of collective action and the strength that emerges when women come together. We don't establish our own offices in the countries where we work; instead, we channel our support to the incredible women's movements that are already on the ground, fighting for their rights in their own communities and nations. We provide them with technical support, funding, and a platform to amplify their voices on the international stage. Our work is a partnership, a collaboration built on trust, mutual respect, and a shared vision for a feminist future.

Our mission is multifaceted, focusing on three key pillars: ending all forms of violence against women and girls, advancing women's economic rights and their control over resources, and strengthening women's equal influence in decision-making and their ability to exercise political power. We understand that to achieve these goals, we must challenge the deeply ingrained patriarchal structures and discriminatory norms that perpetuate inequality. We do this by supporting our partners in their efforts to change laws and policies, by advocating for universal access to quality services that protect and restore women's rights, and by fostering social change that champions the rights of all women and girls. We are committed to being a feminist, anti-racist organization, constantly learning and adapting our practices to decolonize our approach. We are driven by our values of feminism, inclusion, partnership, transparency, and a commitment to learning from the diverse experiences and expertise of the women we work with. Together, we are building a more just and equitable world for everyone.
