I. Job Summary
WM is seeking a dynamic Marketing Manager to lead marketing initiatives within our Strategic Marketing team. This role is responsible for developing and executing high-impact marketing strategies that drive growth, enhance market positioning, and support business objectives.

As a key member of the WM Marketing team, the Marketing Manager will collaborate with Commercial leadership to identify opportunities, develop go-to-market strategies, and oversee structured marketing programs that support customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth. The ideal candidate brings strong strategic thinking, analytical expertise, and program management skills to navigate complex marketing challenges and drive results.

Preference to hire local to Houston, TX but also open to remote candidates

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.

  • Assists in establishing strategic marketing plans to achieve corporate objectives.
  • Develops and executes marketing programs to achieve stated objectives regarding revenue, profitability, and market share.
  • Helps manage marketing budget.
  • Plans and oversees execution of promotional activities including print, sales support, electronic media, trade show, direct mail, and signage.
  • Negotiates contract terms with outside agencies and suppliers.
  • Work with outside agencies develop new campaigns and manage ongoing campaigns.
  • Manages development, production, and distribution of promotional and collateral materials to support sales and marketing programs.
  • Analyzes marketing programs and adjusts strategy and tactics to increase effectiveness.
  • Plans and conducts market research to identify opportunities for increased sales.
  • Maintains customer database and approves the use of internal and external mailing lists.
  • Reviews analysis of marketing surveys on current and new concepts.
  • Provides post-event reports, analysis, and regular status reports on marketing programs.
  • Lead strategy and execution for customer engagement events and industry tradeshows including ROI and impact analysis.

IV. Qualifications
The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job.Must live and work in the US.

A. Education and Experience
  • Required: Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience, in Marketing or similar area of study, and minimum of 5 years previous B2B marketing experience
  • Preferred: Master's Degree

B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements

  • None required.

C. Other Knowledge, Skills or Abilities Required

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing, product marketing, or strategic marketing roles, preferably within healthcare, waste management, or regulated industries.
  • Strong ability to develop and execute data-driven marketing strategies that drive business growth.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Commercial teams to implement strategic initiatives.
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills to navigate complex projects and make data-informed decisions.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, ensuring timely execution and measurable results.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to develop compelling messaging and content.

Normal setting for this job is: office setting/ Hybrid if local to Houston, TX. Remote for out of state candidates.

The expected base pay range for this position across the U.S is $120,000 - 135,000.00. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
