Video Producer (Temporary), SB Nation

SB Nationis looking for an experienced video editor to join the team at Secret Base, a community built with an eye on sports-focused storytelling.

WHO WE ARE

Since its launch in August 2020, Secret Base has provided viewers with an in-depth look at moments in sports history, exploring the details that made all of us as fans care about the stories in the first place. Our primary mission is to tell stories that just happen to be about sports. In this video editor role, you will work closely with the producers, directors, motion graphics artists - basically the entire Secret Base crew - to craft and evolve the production of high-quality documentaries built for the web.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

• Support production teams in all areas of production, including pitching, researching, and writing planned episodes of established shows and coordinating and booking shoots and recording sessions
• Build side-by-side scripts with assets for collaborating with the director/editor or motion graphics artist working on the producer’s videos
• Prepare videos for publication (collaborating with other members of the video team on titles/thumbnails, uploading assets into Volume, preparing YouTube posts, drafting video posts for the website)
• Collaborate with other producers to review scripts or video edits and provide feedback ahead of recording or publishing
• Work with the social team to plan video distribution across platforms
• Regularly pitch new episodes of existing shows
• Practice fair use and editorialization with any unlicensed media and work with the legal team to get clearance on all videos

You are someone who is passionate about telling stories. This job is remote.
