Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced equipment sales manager to sell HVAC equipment to contractors and other professional buyers. The Equipment Sales Manager at Voomi will generate new business through proactive customer engagement, including calls and visits. This role involves cultivating a loyal customer base that leads to recurring sales. Furthermore, this is a new vertical for us and the manager will play a key role in defining Voomi's equipment offerings and strategies to achieve a competitive edge in the market.The ideal candidate will have a strong background selling equipment to contractors, cold calling, pitching to win new business, and nurturing relationships to drive repeat orders.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive new sales: continuously prospect, pitch, and close customers via phone, in person, etc. - to build a robust pipeline and close sales from new customers
Cultivate repeat business: develop deep relationships with pro-customers to drive consistent orders and gain higher share of wallet from existing customers
Build a sales process: develop a scalable sales playbook in the pro-segment including: identification of target customers, strategy to close first order, and relationship / follow up cadence to land repeat orders
Build equipment offering: determine what Voomi needs across different functions in order to effectively build an equipment program: e.g., product, shipping, operations, customer service
Product expertise: develop deep expertise in the Voomi equipment lines
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
5+ years of experience selling HVAC equipment to contractors and pro-customers
Proven ability to prospect, pitch and close new business
Proven ability to harvest existing relationships and increase spend / customer
Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to hustle and “roll up sleeves” to solve problems
Eagerness to cold call, meet with customers, and have extreme bias to action to win business
Ability to function effectively in a scrappy startup environment
