Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Program Manager to lead and oversee federal IT programs of significant size and complexity. This role requires a strong background in program execution, stakeholder management, and modernization initiatives, with a preference for candidates who have supported AI-enabled enhancements or automation efforts. Experience supporting USDA programs is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide overall program leadership and management for federal IT initiatives, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, and budget.
Serve as the primary point of contact with government stakeholders, contracting officers, and technical teams.
- Manage integrated project plans, schedules, risks, issues, and dependencies across multiple workstreams.
- Oversee modernization efforts, including AI-enabled capabilities, automation, or process improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with federal policies, standards, and contractual requirements.
- Lead cross-functional teams, including technical staff, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Track performance metrics and deliver regular status reports, briefings, and executive updates.
- Support continuous improvement efforts and identify opportunities to enhance efficiency, quality, and mission outcomes.
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of federal IT program management experience.
- 5+ years managing programs of similar size, scope, and complexity.
- 2+ years supporting IT modernization efforts, with a preference for AI-enabled enhancements or automation initiatives.
- Proven experience managing schedules, budgets, risks, and deliverables in a federal environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Prior experience supporting USDA NRCS programs or related USDA initiatives.
- Experience working with federal modernization, digital transformation, or data-driven programs.
