In 2015, Sandrine Zhang Ferron, then a finance professional in London, spent endless weekends scouring vintage dealers and physical shops, only to come up empty-handed. She realized that while the world of vintage furniture was rich with character and history, it was also fragmented, offline, and difficult to navigate for the modern shopper.

Determined to solve this problem, Sandrine took a bold leap of faith. She quit her stable career in finance and enrolled in a coding bootcamp at Makers Academy to acquire the technical skills needed to build a solution herself. What started as a passion project to make vintage shopping accessible has since evolved into the UK's leading online marketplace for curated vintage and antique furniture. Today, Vinterior connects thousands of professional dealers with design-conscious buyers, championing a circular economy where pre-loved pieces are valued over fast furniture. By digitizing an old-school industry, the company has created a platform that celebrates craftsmanship, sustainability, and the unique stories behind every piece of furniture.
