What are we looking for? The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading, planning, and executing complex, multi-disciplinary IT projects that drive strategic business outcomes. This role oversees project teams, manages stakeholder expectations, and ensures delivery within scope, timeline, and budget. The Senior Project Manager serves as a key liaison between technical teams and business units, fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
Where you will have an impact
- Direct and manage large-scale, complex IT projects using Agile and traditional project management methodologies.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, demos, and retrospectives, ensuring alignment and momentum.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and resource allocations; monitor progress and adjust as needed.
- Lead cross-functional teams, providing clear direction, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Define project requirements, objectives, and success metrics in partnership with stakeholders.
- Conduct project kickoff meetings, communicate roles and expectations, and ensure teams are equipped for success.
- Proactively identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and resolve issues to maintain project health.
- Oversee quality assurance processes, ensuring deliverables meet business and technical standards.
- Report regularly to senior leadership on project status, milestones, and critical issues.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies, including HIPAA and data security requirements.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within project teams.

What’s necessary to do the job?
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience; advanced degree preferred.
- PMP certification and Agile credentials (PMI-ACP or CSM) strongly preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of progressive project management experience, including leadership of complex IT initiatives.
- Demonstrated expertise in Agile methodologies and application development environments.
- Experience in insurance, health, or vision care industries is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
