The Senior Client Strategist supporting Financial Services provides consultative and analytical services, utilizing data and insights across a variety of sources to inform multi-channel marketing strategies. The objective: to achieve a variety of FI outcomes – new households, accounts, mortgages, HELOC/home equity, and the acquisition of other products. Partners across multidisciplinary teams to drive innovation, challenge the status quo and implement solutions and programs to advance priorities. Will provide strategic direction through analysis and insights to drive strategic plans to enable financial services clients can meet their stated goals. Establishes and maintains strong customer relationships with both internal and external teams. Serves as change agent, championing agile ways of thinking and working to enable teams and individuals for success. Drives excellence in financial acumen, communication (verbal, written and presentation), business and strategic planning, performance monitoring and reporting. Translates market developments into practical, actionable insights by developing a compelling, persuasive story, point of view, and determines relevant impacts to current and future strategy. Utilizes best-in-class expertise in data visualization and modeling to create compelling insights and storytelling in support of client priorities. Champions the implementation of innovative analytics tools to derive actionable insights from large financial services data sets. Applies understanding of market research and analysis of external market data sources to develop forecast models and scenario planning for clients. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of the evolving financial services environment and translates insights to implications for Vericast clients’ strategy and business planning.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Client Strategy : Consults with clients and internal teams to identify objectives and strategies that help our financial services clients solve business needs o Finds solutions for client problems. o Conducts market research. o Performs analysis of competitors to identify opportunities for internal and client strategies. o Stays updated with technologies and consumer behaviors. o Ensures all internal teams understand client challenges 65%
  • Client Presentations : Key member of selling team engaged in client presentations at all levels o Creates and presents the client strategy and market brief o Crafts and tells the data story o Presents the pre-Sales dashboard and current campaign results in client meetings 20%
  • Subject Matter Expertise : Serves as a trusted advisor to both clients and internal teams on media strategies across Vericast solutions that will drive client outcomes and recommends solution enhancements to Product teams. Recommends post-program measurement and reporting plan for client o Understands clients’ businesses and pro-actively identifies opportunities to deliver on business goals 15%

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's Degree (Required)

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous high-level role in banking required (SVP, CMO or CLO preferred)
  • 7-10 years in FI Business Acumen- Both sides of Balance Sheet understanding how product drives the business- from a management perspective
  • Consulting background preferred
  • Understand Financial Statements and can interpret these into actionable strategies
  • An analytic mindset with the ability to develop metrics, create reports, interpret results, and make appropriate recommendations; data driven with a focus on business results for projects undertaken

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze data insights and translate these into compelling story telling-beyond just the facts
  • Demonstrated understanding of compliance and risk requirements of the financial services industry
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills coupled with the ability to remove barriers and enable teams to complete their objectives.
  • Excellent collaboration, organizational, time management, presentation, and writing skills; ability to deliver clear, direct, and effective communication (written & orally) for public consumption.
  • Diplomatic communicator skilled in saying “no” when appropriate; able to negotiate internally as well as with clients to ensure solutions can both address client needs and Vericast capabilities
  • Demonstrated proficiency running effective meetings, facilitating large scale executive workshops and getting buy-in and participation from executive leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • Advanced computer knowledge (Microsoft Office, Tableau)
  • Independent self-starter with proven ability to both identify and solve client or internal challenges
  • Entrepreneurial/flexible mindset unafraid to disrupt status quo while maintaining relationships
  • Strong servant leadership mentality with the proven ability to identify and meet the needs of clients and customers at all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to identify opportunities that create value propositions
  • Desire to learn more of the trends shaping consumer behavior today and, in the future
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and project management skills
  • Open to travel as necessary
  • Experience and desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic and agile environment.
  • Must demonstrate ability and desire to continuously learn and keep up to date on market, industry and professional developments.

DECISION MAKING

  • Must align media plans and deliverables to achieve financial benefits and desired outcomes. All decisions will be made with respect to these guidelines and with pre-approved guidance from Executive Sponsor / Executive Leadership.

Base Salary Range: $170,000-$200,000

Position is eligible for a sales incentive/commission program

The ultimate compensation offered for the position will depend upon several factors such as skill level, cost of living, experience, and responsibilities.
