Assignment Overview

Veolia Water Tech is launching a high-impact, high-visibility initiative to harmonize our Sales Incentive Plans (SIP) across all regions. This temporary "bubble" assignment is critical for driving alignment and simplification across our global commercial organization.

This role will be responsible for leading the transition from our current fragmented programs to a unified global Water Tech SIP framework. This initiative impacts a substantial global population and significant annual costs.

The ideal candidate will be a strong project manager with an understanding of our commercial operations combined with an analytical mindset. They must be able to drive consensus, influence diverse stakeholders, and navigate the complexities of moving our regional and business leaders toward a unified solution that balances global consistency with essential regional flexibility.

Core Responsibilities

  • Program & Project Management: Serve as the central owner for the global SIP harmonization timeline, keeping the project organized and driving all workstreams toward a successful Q1 2027 rollout.

  • Stakeholder Alignment:

    • Lead and facilitate discussions with senior commercial leaders, regional leaders, and other key stakeholders.

    • Help build consensus to adopt the global framework, balancing the need to exercise diplomacy with the strategic imperative to "push for the greater good."

    • Partner with designated regional and business line (BL) liaisons to ensure the initiative is advanced effectively within their regions.

  • Gap Analysis & Data Strategy:

    • Conduct a thorough gap analysis to identify the operational, data, and policy differences between the current regional realities and the proposed global framework.

    • Identify critical data gaps required to operationalize the new program and drive stakeholders to "course correct" and implement solutions.

  • Driving Impact Modeling & Analysis Efforts:

    • Oversee data collection & analysis efforts related to impact modeling (e.g., win/loss analysis) to articulate the financial and motivational impact of proposed changes on the sales organization.

    • Use data-driven insights to challenge assumptions, guide decision-making, and demonstrate the value of harmonization.

  • Driving Implementation Plan, Change Management & SIP Governance :

    • Responsible for leading the transition from current SIP plans to the unified global Water Tech SIP framework, including facilitating go/no-go decisions with SteerCo.

    • Lead change management planning efforts including ensuring buy-in from leadership, development of a robust change management and communication plan and associated materials for commercial and HR teams.

    • Partner with regions to help them understand the SIP governance framework and build associated processes to ensure compliance with the same.

This is a demanding role that requires a self-sufficient leader who can manage ambiguity and drive results independently.

  • Must-Have Skills:

    • Exceptional Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage complex, long-term, multi-stakeholder projects from inception to completion.

    • Stakeholder Influence: Proven experience in building consensus and influencing senior leaders across different functions and geographies. Must be persuasive and resilient.

    • Commercial Acumen: A strong understanding of our commercial operations, sales processes, and business drivers.

    • Analytical Mindset: Ability to identify data gaps, understand financial models, and use analysis to drive decisions.

  • Preferred Experience (One of the following is essential):

    • Direct experience in rolling out or harmonizing SIP or compensation frameworks.

    • OR Significant experience in a Commercial Operations role with a deep understanding of sales team impact and performance metrics.

  • Key Attributes:

    • Self-Sufficient: A self-starter who can take ownership and drive the program with minimal oversight.

    • Resilient: Comfortable navigating resistance and pushing for progress in a complex, matrixed environment.

    • Diplomatic & Firm: Knows how to balance stakeholder management with the non-negotiable need to advance the project.
