We are currently seeking a B2B Staff Designer for our GRC product (Governance, Risk, and Compliance) and for our Trust products. This role is crucial in bringing our vision to life. Vanta operates as a collaborative, remote-first company and values alignment with our core principles.

Ideal candidates have a proven track record of crafting exceptional B2B SaaS products with consumer-grade craftsmanship, consistently delivering meaningful value to customers. You excel in environments that are full of ambiguity and complexity, enjoying the autonomy to shape plans that optimize and streamline customer experiences. Your history shows a strong ability to translate customer needs and technical challenges into positive business outcomes through effective partnerships with Product Management and Engineering. As a thought leader, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our design practices as we continue to expand rapidly. While prior experience in GRC or security is beneficial, it is not required, as many of our successful team members have thrived at Vanta without it.

The Experience Design organization champions our customers by creating and delivering efficient consumer grade experiences through our trust management platform. We aim to earn their trust and contribute to a more secure internet. By providing valuable solutions, we empower Vanta to grow as a business. Our role is vital to the company’s strategic direction, and you will have a significant impact on our product development.

You will report to a Design Director within the Experience Design Organization.

What you’ll do as a Staff Product Designer at Vanta:

  • Lead the design and execution of strategic projects that deliver substantial customer value and impact multiple departments.

  • Conduct customer discovery to inform product strategy, helping to craft compelling narratives that support the vision and objectives.

  • Identify and lead design-driven initiatives with organization-wide impact.

  • Enhance the influence of the Design organization by working openly, sharing customer insights, communicating design solutions, and improving the ways we work.

  • Mentor other designers, helping to refine concepts and elevate design quality.

  • Contribute to and refine our design system to ensure it aligns with strategic goals while maintaining consistent, high-quality design standards.

How to be successful in this role:

  • 8-10+ years of experience delivering high-quality B2B SaaS products on large-scale projects.

  • Demonstrated track record of maintaining high executional quality and organizational impact.

  • Independent in driving discovery processes and leveraging customer insights to inform product strategy and define design directions.

  • Skilled in leading the design process from ambiguity to concept and execution for entire product areas.

  • Strong ability to mentor and influence others, including senior and executive management teams.

  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and complex problem-solving.

  • Proven success in driving design strategy, systemic thinking, and strong product sensibility.

  • Excellent communication skills, capable of clearly articulating design concepts to diverse audiences.

  • Proficient in managing complex projects, timelines, and proactive escalation handling.

  • Portfolio required, showcasing consumer-grade craftsmanship and effective product solutions tailored to customer needs.

To provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges for all US-based job postings regardless of state. We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function, level, and country location, benchmarked against similar-stage growth companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including candidate location, skills, depth of work experience, and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below. The salary or OTE range for this position is $207,000 - $244,000. This role may also be eligible for commissions/bonus, equity, medical benefits, 401(k) plan, and other company perk programs.
