The opportunity
Unity Studio is our cutting‑edge, browser‑based real‑time 3D authoring tool. While our current focus is on non‑gaming use cases, our ambitious vision is to evolve Studio into a universal, web‑based collaboration hub for any Unity Project. We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the talented team bringing Unity Projects directly to the web browser.
As the Engineering Manager, you will lead a full‑stack development team with both backend and frontend engineering functions reporting directly to you. Your primary impact will be unlocking your team's full potential, empowering them to operate at maximum velocity. You will orchestrate the entire engineering lifecycle—seamlessly balancing rapid bug fixes for our live product with long‑term, ambitious research initiatives.
What success looks like in this role
Short‑term: Rapidly establishing trust with your engineering team, streamlining current agile workflows, and ensuring reliable, high‑quality releases for our live product.
Long‑term: Successfully scaling the platform's architecture to support comprehensive web‑based collaboration for all Unity projects, and fostering a resilient, high‑performance engineering culture.
This is a rare opportunity to be at the forefront of 3D technology. You will directly shape the next generation of development workflows, building the foundational tools that empower millions of creators worldwide to build amazing new games and 3D applications.
