ROLE SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director, Literacy Partnerships, the Manager, Literacy Partnerships will manage CORE Literacy Partnerships which involves the expert delivery of CORE Learning’s professional learning services in reading and language arts. The services managed and at times also delivered by the Manager, Literacy Partnerships involve providing consultation on evidence-based English Language Arts (ELA) instruction and program implementation, including but not limited to providing demonstration lessons specific to identified curricula, classroom observations and feedback, side-by-side teaching and coaching, Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS) support, supporting school or district administrators and coaches, and assisting with implementation plans. UnboundEd is a virtual organization and this employee can be based anywhere in the United States. UnboundEd has core business hours where we expect all staff to be available from 9 am to 5 pm local time, up to 50% travel is required.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

Manage CORE Literacy Partnerships: Provide support, expert guidance and consultation to clients and the Sales team.

  • Write blogs and articles related to evidence-based practices in ELA.
  • Work with the CORE Learning and UnboundEd teams, and follow established protocols, to support and oversee scopes of work for assigned clients.
  • Represent and promote CORE and UnboundEd at conferences, trade shows and other events as requested.
  • Provide editorial review and/or service development as requested. UnboundEd’s Commitment to Diversity and Equal Opportunity Employment Policy
  • Provide strategic thought partnership and collaboration to the CORE Learning & UnboundEd teams.
  • Actively engage in creating and/or achieving identified goals, organizationally, within the Literacy Department, and individually.
  • Work to renew contracts with existing clients and gain new clients through warm and hot leads.

Deliver Language and Literacy Content: In addition to managing CORE Literacy Partnerships, provide expert guidance and consultation to educators on evidence-based practices in English Language Arts (ELA) instruction and program implementation.

  • Deliver professional learning workshops, either in-person or virtually.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators and coaches to develop effective strategies and action plans for improving ELA instruction.
  • Conduct demonstration lessons specific to identified curricula to showcase effective instructional techniques and strategies.
  • Perform classroom observations to assess the implementation of ELA programs and provide constructive feedback and support to teachers.
  • Assist in the implementation of MTSS frameworks to support students' literacy needs.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in education leadership, teacher education development, or a related field
  • Five (5) years of professional experience in K-12 education, with a minimum of two (2) years working at a school administrative or system level in a district or charter management organization or similar system-level experience
  • Other equivalent combinations of relevant experience and training will also be considered THE STRONGEST CANDIDATES WILL HAVE/BE:

  • Knowledge of urban school environments
  • In-depth knowledge of the Common Core State Standards and/or other state standards for English Language Arts
  • Knowledgeable about effective skills and strategies for culturally and linguistically diverse learners, special education students, and non-native English speakers
  • Strong foundational knowledge in evidence-based reading/ELA instruction and research on teaching reading/language arts or ELA at the elementary and/or secondary level
  • Demonstrated knowledge of a wide range of programs and publisher materials, including reading intervention programs and reading/ELA assessments, particularly CBM assessments, is preferred
  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a virtual, remote environment and build strong relationships with colleagues and partners across geographies and time zones
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office, Google-based applications, and online collaboration tools such as Slack

UnboundEd offers competitive salaries commensurate with experience and education and a generous benefits package that includes take-as-you-need vacation time, group medical, dental and vision plans, disability and life insurance plans, and an employer-sponsored 401K retirement plan with a 5% employer contribution with no vesting period or salary cap. This is an exempt full-time position with an annual salary range of $85,000 - $110,000. A compensation offer is based on relevant years of experience in relation to the position.
