Two Six Technologies is seeking a Senior Buyer who will thrive in a dynamic, agile organization. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter and problem solver that can adapt to our growing business as we mature. This is a remote position with travel to our Arlington, VA headquarters as needed.
What You Will Do:
- Procurement & Acquisition Planning: Apply procurement techniques to support acquisition planning and strategies for materials, software, and simple services.
- Strategic Advising: Serve as a business advisor to internal customers, providing alternative solutions to requested items when such solutions offer benefits like enhanced performance, cost savings, or improved scheduling.
- Sourcing & Vendor Management: Develop sourcing lists for various commodities to support the development of Requests for Information (RFI), Quotations (RFQ), and Proposals (RFP), as well as engage in complex negotiations with vendors.
- Negotiation: Negotiate all aspects of procurements including price, payment and delivery terms, quality requirements, and other factors to achieve the best value procurement possible.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain a working knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and standard procurement practices to ensure compliance and efficiency in procurement operations.
- Contract Review & Risk Management: Perform terms and conditions review for regulatory compliance, applicable flow-downs, and risk management assessments.
- Cost & Price Analysis: Conduct supplier cost management, foster competition, and perform price analysis to ensure fair and reasonable pricing.
- Purchase Order Administration: Manage cradle-to-grave purchase order administration and file maintenance, from solicitation to closeout.
What You Will Need:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience and professional training
- 3+ years of relevant experience supporting Federal prime contracts. Ideally, in a Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) compliant environment
- Proven experience in managing strategic purchasing agreements and handling complex negotiations
- Familiarity with reading and locating pertinent information within federal prime contracts, including but not limited to FAR clauses, contractual requirements, and monetary values
Nice If You Have:
- Experience with SAP Ariba or comparable P2P system
- Experience with Unanet GovCon or comparable ERP system
- Experience with a contract lifecycle management (CLM) system
- Familiar with negotiating single and multi-year SAAS agreements
Security clearance needed:
- The ability to obtain and maintain a high level government security clearance
