About the Role
A psychedelic playing card company is seeking a skilled Freelance 2D Character Animator with mid-level experience to craft a captivating 90-second video for our upcoming Kickstarter campaign. The video will serve as a storytelling medium, incorporating existing art from our website and featuring the psychonaut as the narrator. This project entails creating storyboards, developing backgrounds, and crafting smooth transitions to effectively convey the narrative and highlight our product. The ideal candidate will be able to maintain consistency with our website's visual style throughout the animation process.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a 2D Character Animator, with a portfolio showcasing relevant work.
- Proficiency in animation software such as Adobe Animate, Toon Boom Harmony, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of storytelling principles and the ability to translate scripts into engaging visuals.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a remote setting.
- Excellent communication skills and responsiveness to feedback.
- Mid-level expertise in 2D character animation techniques, including character rigging and motion.
- Availability to commit to the project over the course of the next few months, with flexibility to accommodate revisions and feedback.
- Prior experience creating videos for crowdfunding campaigns or similar marketing initiatives is a plus.
