About the Role

Our client, a creative studio working on an engaging game that highlights the environmental implications of artificial intelligence is seeking to hire a CSS developer. The primary responsibility of this role is to produce a CSS stylesheet for the game using a provided Figma file. The studio is looking to hire a junior to mid-level CSS developer for this project, and remote work is acceptable as the job is not location-dependent. The studio is ready to make a paid hire and has all necessary designs and copy prepared.

Responsibilities:

  • Study and understand the provided Figma file, including the game's design and layout.
  • Write clean, organized, and efficient CSS code to accurately translate the Figma designs into a functional stylesheet.
  • Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness of the CSS stylesheet.
  • Collaborate with the studio's team to understand any specific requirements or guidelines.
  • Optimize the CSS code for performance and maintainability.

Requirements

  • Junior to mid-level experience in writing CSS code for web applications or games.
  • Proficiency in CSS preprocessors (e.g., Sass, Less) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of CSS concepts, including selectors, box model, layouts, and responsive design principles.
  • Familiarity with CSS frameworks or libraries (e.g., Bootstrap, Foundation) is an advantage.
  • Ability to write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code.
