Turion Space

Turion Space is an Irvine, California-based aerospace company building critical space infrastructure for the future of humanity in space. Founded in 2021, the company operates a complete infrastructure in space with hardware, software, payloads, and mission command and control designed and built as a cohesive platform. They are the first U.S. commercial provider licensed for resolved non-Earth imaging.

The company develops highly maneuverable satellites and payloads focused on space domain awareness, non-Earth imaging, and in-space servicing. Their DROID series spacecraft perform missions including orbital transport, refueling, servicing, rendezvous proximity operations, and debris removal. With two successful missions already on orbit and others scheduled, Turion's hardware is proven in LEO with plans to deploy to GEO and beyond. The company has secured 29 government contracts with agencies including USSF, NASA, NRO, and DARPA, demonstrating strong relationships with defense and national security sectors.

Turion's mission software division provides end-to-end mission planning consolidating the software stack across modeling and simulation, with ground and flight software delivering a unified command and control platform. They've also launched the Starfire NEXUS platform designed to democratize access to on-orbit compute. The company has raised over $112 million across seed, Series A, and Series B funding rounds.
