YOUR MISSION

As the Accounting Manager at True Anomaly, you will be a key contributor to the month end close process and the preparation of Monthly Financial Statements. This role will support the Corporate Controller in building the accounting team, implementing internal controls, accounting processes and systems. You will have the opportunity to design and build processes that you can then train other team members to help execute against.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the accounting close process.
  • Support the Corporate Controller with implementing accounting policies and best practices.
  • Build and develop a high performing accounting team.
  • Assess accounting processes to identify opportunities to improve the quality and timeliness of the monthly close.
  • Support the preparation of Financial Statements.
  • Support the statutory reporting process, to complete statutory financial statement filings.
  • Be a proactive leader; demonstrate the ability to identify issues and develop solutions.
  • Support implementation of Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)-covered contracts
  • Implement Balance Sheet Reconciliation process and procedures.
  • Once applicable, support the annual audit.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance, 7+ years of experience
  • Prior management experience preferred.
  • CPA designation preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, government contract accounting, FAR accounting standards and DCAA compliance.
  • Previous Aerospace and Defense experience a plus.
  • Analytical and with exceptional problem-solving skills and a strong attention to detail. Excellent communication and presentation abilities, capable of conveying complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Prior NetSuite experience preferred.

COMPENSATION

  • Base Salary: $110,000 - 140,000
  • Equity + Benefits including Health, Dental, Vision, HRA/HSA options, PTO and paid holidays, 401K, Parental Leave

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Work Location—We observe a hybrid work environment, but the Company is headquartered in Denver, CO. Being local to the area is preferred, but not required.
  • Work environment is in a standard office, working at a desk or in a production factory.
  • Physical demands may include frequent standing, sitting, walking, bending, and lifting or carrying items up to 20lbs.
