In the Role

Our ExpertTutors are the role models for the students studying on our ***Business Intelligence Analytics*** program. They mentor students, help them with difficult concepts and assignments, teach them the skills necessary to be a great BIA professional.

They guide students through the program and into their future careers, making sure all students get the most out of both regardless of their background.

What you will do

As an Expert Tutor you will be a core part of students’ educational process and will:

• mentor students during 1-1 video calls; you’ll be dealing with different questions from students including a deeper explanation of certain concepts, tools or skills, supporting and navigating students in their assignments
• communicate with students via video during group Q&A sessions for “drop-in” questions
• host webinars and other educational events for groups of students (about the content covered in our program, extracurricular skills, career and industry knowledge), or attend other non-educational meetings with students
• share your professional expertise and best industry practices with the students

Requirements

• you have 3+ experience in Business analysis/Data Analysis in large-scale data sets, creating dashboards, reports and presentations with compelling visuals with BI-tools
• you can explain topics in Excel, SQL, statistics, mathematics, data visualization tools in a way that is understandable for students
• you have advanced SQL skills, including ability to manipulate complex databases, create temporary views and functions
• you are a professional user of Tableau or Power-BI (ideally, being confident with both)
• you have 2+ years of experience working in the US tech industry
• you are ready to dedicate 10-15 hours a week (or slightly more if you wish) to this project, sometimes on weekends

Preferred Experience

• Teaching or tutoring experience;
• Experience with other BI-tools (Looker, QlikView, Grafana, Streamlit, Google Analytics, etc..)
• Programming experience in Python/R
• Experience with analytics pipelines, ETL processes using Python, Airflow, dbt and/or other similar data integrations/scheduling tools
• Have your own experience as a student online, and the desire to help create the best place in the world to study Business Intelligence Analysis

• pay rate of $40-45 per hour based on experience
• remote, part-time work (10-15 hours per week, up to 20 hours per week can be discussed)
