The Opportunity

The Quality Control Specialist (QCS) will work closely with local suppliers to ensure the quality of the fresh produce. As a representative of Quality Control, he or she will be responsible for prospecting and qualifying a grower by conducting inspections at both farm sites and packing houses. Daily tasks will involve visiting the supplier’s site, evaluating the quality of the fresh produce and sharing the reports with trading experts and suppliers. A high level of ownership and genuine willingness to secure the fresh produce for operation are the keys to this position’s success.

What you will be doing:

• Develop documents for QC data entry of fresh produces
• Identify and sort quality issues, and communicate to the assigned sourcing team
• Conduct quality audits, record, and submit information to trading experts
• Perform a visual inspection of fresh produces daily to identify and record errors
• Share results and communicate directly with the assigned sourcing team to find improvement points in the quality
• Work closely with trading experts and suppliers to develop Quality Standard Guidelines

What you will need to bring:

• 5+ years of experience in the agriculture/food industry
• 3+ years of experience in Quality Inspection
• Experienced preparing detailed records or reports of QC Inspection
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in the local language
• Living in the country where you are applying for this position
• High school diploma or general education degree
