As a Project Directorfor Industrial Plant Engineering (m/f/d), you will play a key role in the realization of our large-scale production facilities (investment volume > €100M), contributing to establishing traceless as a pioneer in the sustainable materials industry.
With your extensive experience in industrial plant construction and project leadership, you will manage the entire project lifecycle – from concept development and detailed planning to commissioning. You’ll ensure that communication, processes, and structures run smoothly and that all stakeholders collaborate effectively. Your proactive risk management and strategic foresight enable you to identify and address challenges early on.
Your expertise in plant engineering, utilities, and regulatory processes enables you to build production capacities that are scalable and future-proof. Your responsibilities:
- Independent planning, management, and execution of industrial plant construction projects, including building and utility infrastructure.
- Ensuring that all technical, economic, sustainable, and timeline targets are met.
- Communication, alignment, and reporting with internal and external stakeholders (executive management, specialist departments, service providers, authorities & board members).
- Responsibility for risk management, quality assurance, and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Coordination and optimization of project workflows, including resource and budget planning.
- Leadership of interdisciplinary teams and close collaboration with the management team.
- Champion innovative, sustainable, and circular approaches in construction and engineering.
- Proactively identify and cultivate strategic funding partnerships and investment opportunities
- University degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, civil engineering, industrial engineering, or a comparable qualification.
- A proven track record with over 10 years’ experience successfully delivering and strategically managing complex, large-scale industrial facility projects (investment volumes exceeding €100M).
- Excellent communication skills towards internal and external stakeholders
- Proven experience in project management methodologies (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2, Lean Management).
- Strong knowledge of plant construction, process engineering, and production operations – ideally in bioeconomy, chemical industry, or similar sectors.
- Demonstrated excellence in strategic financial oversight, rigorous budget management, and cost optimization of large-scale capital projects.
- Strategic foresight with evidence of financial success and sustainable impact.
- Familiarity with legal requirements, technical standards, and permitting procedures.
- Hands-on mentality and a solution-oriented mindset.
- Experience leading project teams and working with international partners.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, CAD software, and MS Project is an advantage.
- Fluency in both German and English, written and spoken.
