Operations - Settlement & Clearing (VATP of a Chinese Fintech)

Responsibilities

• Manage customers' fiat currency deposits and withdrawals on the virtual asset trading platform and be responsible for overseeing and executing the transfer of fiat-currency in-and-out of the exchange.
• Reconcile daily fiat balances among the bank accounts, exchange system and relevant systems/records.
• Handle accounting and processing of transaction fees
• In charge of reconciliation of client assets in the platform wallet and banking partners, to resolve any abnormality, discrepancies and escalation swiftly.
• Manage crypto on-ramp and off-ramp processes/ flows of all fiat channels respectively.
• Maintain smooth and efficient Fiat operations while expanding crypto on-ramp and off-ramp channels and partners globally.
• Improvise the Fiat-Crypto Finance policies for Account Payable, Account Receivable, and to enhance efficiencies through system optimization and SOP.
• Other Ad-hoc duties deemed fit per business growth and strategic direction.

Requirements

• Have bachelors degree in accounting, finance or related subjects.
• Preferably have worked at an accounting firm.
• Must have at least 1 year of hands-on settlement and clearing experience in virtual asset trading platforms or exchanges.
• Familiarity with AML/KYC regulations and compliance procedures is a plus.
• Multi-tasking; Able to learn, adapt and act agilely; Aptitude in problem-solving; Excellent interpersonal skills; Good drafting, communication and negotiation skills; Being able to work under tight deadlines and pressure; Proactive, willing to learn and detail-oriented.
• Good understanding of crypto assets daily balance sheets, treatment of accounts payable, accounts receivable, P&L, general ledger and monthly reports.
• Qualified accounting qualifications in Hong Kong, UK, USA or Australia is a nice to have
• Proficient in both Mandarin (Chinese) and English (in all 4 aspects: reading, writing, speaking and listening).
