You’ll dig into user behavior, campaign performance, and product engagement data across multiple international markets—translating complex business questions into clear, actionable insights and building scalable reporting solutions in tools like Tableau or ThoughtSpot.

***This is a 40-hour per week role and is fully remote, but applicants must reside in the US for consideration. What does this team do?

Our Business Intelligence team enables data-driven decision-making across The Motley Fool's global operations. We partner with stakeholders to translate complex business questions into meaningful insights, build scalable reporting solutions, and drive strategic growth initiatives. Working across multiple international markets, we support Product, Marketing, and other functional teams with the analytics they need to optimize performance and enhance customer experiences.

What will you do in this role?

  • Partner with Global Product, Marketing, and other business teams to translate goals into data-driven analytical work-streams
  • Analyze user behavior, campaign performance, product usage, and engagement trends across multiple international markets
  • Design and evaluate A/B and multivariate tests to assess the impact of global initiatives
  • Deliver insights that inform product development, optimize marketing strategies, and enhance customer experience at scale
  • Build and maintain intuitive dashboards in Tableau, ThoughtSpot, or similar tools to support international business needs
  • Ensure clarity and consistency in metric definitions across global regions and business units
  • Create proactive, automated reporting to minimize ad hoc requests and improve access to core insights
  • Collaborate with BI, Data Engineering, and Governance teams to improve pipeline quality, data accessibility, and reporting scalability
  • Conduct exploratory analysis on customer cohorts, product engagement, and lifecycle behavior across regions
  • Support audience segmentation and targeting strategies tailored to different global markets
  • Identify emerging trends and surface new opportunities through exploratory analytics

What do you need to apply?

  • 5+ years in Business Intelligence, Analytics, or related data roles
  • Experience supporting business teams such as Product, Marketing, Customer Experience, or Sales, preferably in a global context or subscription marketing business.
  • Advanced SQL skills for querying and transforming large volumes of data including e-commerce, web engagement, and email data
  • Familiar with A/B testing methodologies and statistical analysis techniques
  • Expert level report-building skills with BI tools such as Tableau and ThoughtSpot
  • Exposure to product and marketing analytics platforms (e.g., GA4, Amplitude, ESPs, or ad platforms)
  • Excellent communication and data storytelling skills for non-technical stakeholder audiences
  • Collaborative, with a consultative mindset and the ability to influence without authority
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proactive and curious, with a bias toward execution and continuous improvement

Nice to haves:

  • Familiarity or experience with financial services and/or subscription services
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business, Economics, or a related field
  • Python or R experience
  • Experience working in multinational organizations with diverse regional needs

The ideal candidate thrives in a dynamic environment, has a strong command of data, and enjoys turning complex global business questions into clear, actionable insights that drive our mission forward.

Compensation:

Below is our target compensation range. While we are budget conscious, we’re also eager to find the right person for this role, so if your target is outside of this range, please don’t hesitate to apply and we’d be happy to have a conversation.

Hourly Pay Range$65—$80 USD
