What we are looking for

This role is critical to the overall growth and health of our client relationships. You will lead the growth of a portfolio of accounts consisting of 5+ accounts with a total value of $5M-$8m in revenue. Partnering with a client success lead, you will ensure the portfolio is healthy, growing, and delivering results for our clients. You will develop and proactively manage a growth plan for the portfolio, building C-level and VP relationships and act as a consultative leader helping clients identify opportunities to grow their business. We need someone who can coach and mentor their team to identify and pursue opportunities within accounts. You will support net new business development and onboarding of new clients, ensuring a seamless transition into the agency.

What you will do

Portfolio growth and leadership

  • Responsible for the overall growth of accounts within your portfolio.
  • Develop and manage the growth plans to achieve revenue targets for your portfolio.
  • Build high-trust executive-level client relationships​, advising and recommending marketing programs to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Provide expertise and insights that help clients achieve desired outcomes.
  • Work with teams to identify, pursue, pitch, and win new work across your accounts.
  • Regularly connect and meet with clients, keeping them informed of industry influences and trends.
  • Support the new business team in pitch development and presentations.
  • Co-lead client onboarding, annual planning, and quarterly client review meetings
  • Collaborate with client success partners to ensure overall account health, manage client investments, and negotiate favorable contracts.
  • Develop and maintain a strong professional network.
  • Understand and build upon TMP service offerings and value prospects, clients, and partners.
  • Collaborate with other functions and teams (new business, marketing, other growth teams, etc.) to develop, adopt, and maintain the roles, processes, tools, etc. needed to deliver growth for your accounts.

Team management, mentorship, and support

  • Foster the conditions and environment for the portfolio team to thrive, where individuals can build their careers and develop skills as they deliver for their clients.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and coaching on opportunity identification and pursuit.
  • Contribute and develop individual development plans, regularly reviewing and providing feedback on career progression goals for individual team members.
  • Participate in semi-annual formal performance reviews.
  • Successfully onboard and train new hires onto the team.

Commercial leadership

  • Revenue forecasting, management, and reporting across the portfolio.
  • Participate in portfolio optimization reviews.
  • Negotiate and develop favorable proposals and contracts.

Desired outcomes

  • Clear client growth plans across the portfolio.
  • Established operating rhythms and systems within the portfolio around client growth.
  • Revenue plans and targets are clearly understood by teams, and they understand their responsibility and contribution towards achieving them.
  • Client revenue and growth targets are being hit.
  • The wider business has confidence in the revenue forecasting for the portfolio.
  • Client investment efforts are prioritized and focus on the most valuable areas for lasting commercial success.
  • Accounts are shifting towards longer-term and larger contracts.
  • You are proactively taking strategic insights, ideas, and new propositions to our clients, in alignment with their needs.
  • You have clients at the CMO & VP levels who advocate for us within their organization and through referrals.
  • Your portfolio delivers award-winning work that supports our client's growth objectives.
  • The portfolio team is proactively pursuing opportunities that contribute to the growth plan.

Requirements

Who you are:

  • 10+ years of overall agency experience, including 5+ years of agency experience working in a client leadership role.
  • Demonstrable experience developing growth plans that result in business growth.
  • Experience with strategic consulting on marketing programs and strategies designed to achieve business objectives.
  • Leadership experience managing large teams that produce measurable outcomes.
  • Experience leading C-level and VP client and partner relationships.
  • Exceptional skills in both written and verbal communication.
