The July is looking for a hands-on Sales Manager for the pre-opening and day-to-day sales operations for our newest addition, as we’re expanding and bringing The July to the heart of Dublin.

On iconic Capel Street, our newest 105 apartment-hotel and restaurant is designed to become a welcoming place for travellers, neighbours and the community around us. Thoughtfully developed, sustainably built, and shaped by local design, The July Dublin will feel both distinctly Irish and unmistakably The July.

The July is a premium hospitality brand that’s bringing the human touch to the way people travel. We are a group of apartment-hotels driven by delivering the best experience the world has ever seen, for guests staying one night or one year.

From Amsterdam to the world! Together with our shareholder Aware Super, we are implementing our strategy of international growth as owner-operator. Our teams have the ambitious goal to develop multiple new apartment-hotels across prime European cities like Dublin, Paris, Lisbon and Barcelona. Each location has the local stories and spirit interwoven throughout the apartment-hotel’s distinctive design.

The job

As our Sales Manager, you will play a key role in launching our new property in Dublin Capel Street. Your main responsibilities will include developing new commercial activities and increasing the profit margin for The July. This includes building our presence in the Dublin market, creating strong networks, and identifying business opportunities.

  • Ability to identify new business opportunities and market trends.

  • Maintain and cultivate strong relationships with new and existing clients.

  • Target new corporate accounts, group business and other events to drive business growth.

  • Proactively negotiate and secure both new and existing corporate contracts to surpass revenue targets.

  • Work closely together with different departments and HQ to maximize revenue.

  • Representing the hotel at trade shows, networking events and industry conferences to build brand awareness and generate leads.

  • Host site visits and presentations to potential clients.

  • Prepare and present hotel sales performance reports and local market trends to the Director of Sales.

  • Handle client inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.

  • Travel frequently to meet clients, attend industry events and sales team meetings in our HQ in Amsterdam.

Requirements

We are looking for:

  • Minimum three or more years of proven experience in a similar hotel sales-based role.

  • Strong negotiating and relationship-building skills.

  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.

  • Engaging personality.

  • Excellent communication skills verbally and written.

  • A passion for sales and have confidence in converting enquiries.

  • Ability to demonstrate knowledge of current market trends.

  • Excellent attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong negotiating and relationship build skills.
