About The Decision Lab
We’re an applied research and innovation firm based in Montreal that helps organizations make better decisions by combining behavioral science, design, data analytics, and artificial intelligence. Our consultants work with public- and private-sector clients on challenges involving product and service design, behavior change, consumer insights, strategy, operations, people and organization, risk and compliance, and AI adoption. We also conduct research in priority areas and operate one of the largest publications focused on applied behavioral science.
Our mission is to democratize applied behavioral science and close the gap between academic research and practical use. We believe scientific evidence can help people, institutions, and societies make more informed and effective choices, so we pair rigorous experimentation with human-centered design to turn insights into scalable interventions. Past clients have included the Gates Foundation, Capital One, the World Bank, and numerous Fortune 500 organizations. We evaluate our work through SPICE: socially conscious, pragmatic, inventive, catalytic, and evidence based.
