Job Description – Compliance Analyst

Minimum Education: 2-year associate degree. Bachelor degree in a related field is preferred
Years of Experience: 2-5 years of experience in a similar or related position

Position Summary:


The Compliance Analyst role is primarily responsible for ensuring product and operational compliance with state regulatory agencies for real estate, mortgage, home inspection, and appraisal business groups. The Compliance Analyst conducts research, answers routine and non-routine correspondence and assembles highly detailed and possibly confidential information. This position deals with a diverse group of influential contacts as well as internal customers and colleagues at all levels of the organization.

Essential Functions / Job Responsibilities:
• Prepare and submit applications to gain or renew provider and course approvals from credentialing organizations
• Communicate with regulatory agencies to maintain and ensure compliance of school and course offerings
• Perform research on legal and regulatory websites to monitor changes in legislation and identify new educational requirements that would affect the business; synthesizes new laws and regulations to provide meaningful and logical recommendations/notifications for subsequent changes to the business
• Researches and resolves issues that include compliance and revenue implications and exercises independent judgement and discretion with business decisions
• Regularly reviews national and state regulatory websites, newsletters, updates, and other resources to proactively confirm or obtain information about new or changing rules and regulations
• Conducts regular audits on current rules and practices and reviews/analyzes data and documentation to provide recommendations to appropriate members of the leadership team; maintains documentation as needed
• Supports the customer service/sales and curriculum teams by identifying and troubleshooting issues and recommending compliant courses of action for resolution
• Performs data entry, information retrieval, written correspondence and mailings

Qualifications:
• Detail oriented with an aptitude to organize and prioritize large volumes of information
• Must possess exceptional problem-solving skills
• At least 2 years of experience working in an administrative role in a regulatory (real estate, education, or legal) environment
• Ability to comprehend, analyze and clearly communicate legal requirements
• Excellent communication skills and above average proficiency at composing, typing, and editing correspondence, reports, memoranda, and other material
• Ability to prioritize, organize and work with minimal supervision
• Ability to work successfully both individually and within a team-focused environment
• Ability to apply professionalism with time sensitive and/or confidential information and situations
• Project management and data entry experience
Technical Skills Required:
• Above average proficiency with Acrobat Professional, Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel with ability to generate reports in various formats (e.g. .csv, .xml)
• Experience with Salesforce and Westlaw preferred
• Google platform experience (Google Docs, Google Mail, Google Calendar, Google Hangout)
• Skills necessary to operate standard office equipment (e.g., faxing, printing, scanning, etc.)

Supervisory Responsibility:


This position does not supervise the work of others.
