About Telespeech Therapy
At Telespeech Therapy, we're a team of licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) and Speech Language Pathology Assistants dedicated to helping children and adults reach their full communication potential. Founded in 2015 and headquartered in Bakersfield, California, we began by serving Kern County and surrounding areas before expanding to support all of California. Our organization is proudly owned and led by Christy Slayton, a board-certified, CA licensed speech-language pathologist who built this practice from the ground up after working as an SLP in schools and serving as a special education coordinator.
We partner with school districts as a California Department of Education-certified Non-Public Agency (NPA) since 2018, providing both virtual teletherapy and in-person services. We offer comprehensive speech and language assessments including CELF-5, CASL-2, GFTA-3, PLS-5, and more. Our hybrid approach means families can receive therapy from the comfort of home or in our clinic, while schools benefit from reliable coverage, substitute SLPs, and access to our custom software for real-time progress tracking and compliance monitoring.
