eBay is seeking a highly skilled Senior NoSQL Database Administrator with deep expertise in MongoDB Atlas to join their dynamic data infrastructure team. The role involves designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing NoSQL database systems with a primary focus on MongoDB Atlas.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a DBA with a focus on MongoDB, including at least 2 years with MongoDB Atlas in a production environment.
  • Strong understanding of NoSQL data modeling, query optimization, and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency with MongoDB tools (Compass, Atlas CLI, mongodump/mongorestore, mongoexport/mongoimport).
  • Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Bash, Terraform, Ansible) for deployment and monitoring tasks.
  • Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and experience managing cloud-based databases.
  • Familiarity with security practices, including encryption, authentication (LDAP, x.509), and role-based access controls.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Prior experience with NoSQL and caching technologies (Redis, Elasticsearch)
