What You'll Do
- Define and drive a vision, strategy, and roadmap aligned with Tala’s overall business objectives for the Global Lending vertical. This vertical encompasses E2E lending products from applications to recoveries, including automated decisioning and machine learning infrastructure.
- Synthesize market feedback and insights to identify opportunities for product innovation and expansion. Define market challenges and size opportunities, and prioritize initiatives that are differentiated, scalable, and repeatable.
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including marketing, credit, finance, legal, compliance, and technology, to ensure seamless integration of lending products into the overall business strategy. Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing across departments.
- Own KPIs and metrics to evaluate the performance of our lending products and automated decisioning processes. Continuously monitor performance, gather feedback, and implement optimization strategies to drive growth and profitability.
- Provide strong leadership to a team of product managers, fostering a culture of ownership, trust, results focus, and curiosity. Mentor team members and provide guidance to support their professional growth and development.
- Keep on top of industry trends and competitive landscapes, harnessing emerging opportunities to drive strategic innovation and maintain our competitive edge
What You Need
- 8+ years of product experience in product management, with at least 3 years leading product teams & organizations
- 5+ years experience in consumer lending
- Experience in automated underwriting/decisioning driven by machine learning, and an understanding of how to leverage data science to drive customer & business value
- Fluency with software engineering practices and experience delivering software capabilities that are scalable and drive customer success
- Experience working in a global company, ideally with emerging market experience
- Effective communicator who listens, motivates, and inspires with strong cross-functional leadership and understanding
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with distributed teams
