What you’ll do?

• Ourteamsaregrowingrapidlyandwe’rehiringaDataEngineertotakeourproductstothenextlevelofscale.UseyourexperienceindataengineeringtohelpdefineDataasaProduct,andbringyourexpertisetoimprovenotjusttheproductitselfbuttheclientexperience,leveragingdata,fromETLtothepresentationlayer.
• YouwillworkcloselywithyourTechLeadandtheotherengineersinyourteamtodefinetheappropriatetechnicalapproach,metrics,andtimelines.YouwillhaveyoursayintheproductroadmapandhelptheteamandtheProductManagertomakethemostinformeddecisionstobreakdowncomplextechdeliverablesintosimpleandunderstandableuserstories.
• Youwilldrivecollaboration,gatherfeedback,solveproblems,andtacklechallengesthroughtestsandlearning.
• Qualityiskeyforus,soyouwillensureallproductcomponentsarebuilttoanappropriatelevelofqualityforthestage(alpha/beta/production),deliverproductsusingtheappropriateleveloftestingandmonitoring,failfast,andlearnanditeratefrequently.
• Youwillchampioncontinuousimprovementandalwaysaimtoimprovetheproductyourteamownsandmeasureyourimpactwiththeappropriatetech,product,ordeliverymetrics.

Responsibilities:

Inthisroleyouwill:

• Workacrossthefullstackdependingonwhereyoucandrivethehighestimpact:fromETLpipelinestodatawarehousingtovisualisations,aswellastestingandcloudinfrastructure.
• Workwithyourteamtodesignandimplementfeaturesandservicesforthedataanalyticssolution,andkeepthedesignchoiceswell-documentedandexplained
• Train/mentorotherDataengineersonDataengineeringbestpractice.
• Useyourexperiencetocreate/improvepredictivedataquality
• ChampiontheDataOpsculture,supportdatasystemsinproduction,includingparticipationinourout-of-hourson-callrota
• Communicatewithcustomerstodiscussnewusecasesorhelpthemidentifyandfixdataissues,aswellasmanagetheend-to-endsetupforthem:fromrawdataanalysis,todefiningandimplementingdataingestion/enrichmentpipelinestocreatingdatavisualisations
