Why this role matters

To accelerate our growth across the DACH region, you’ll be responsible for identifying opportunities and turning them into consistent, repeatable revenue across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

You’ll lead from the front in a growing region — working with a high degree of autonomy while collaborating closely with the wider team across Europe. You will be responsible for building momentum, shaping our approach, and accelerating growth in a key market.

This role is about ownership as much as execution. You’ll identify opportunities, progress deals, and generate insight on the ground — feeding back what resonates with customers and what doesn’t.

What you’ll be doing

  • Developing new business through outbound prospecting, networking, and self-sourced opportunities across the DACH region

  • Owning the full sales cycle for prospects, from first meeting to close

  • Running high-quality discovery and demos with self storage operators

  • Qualifying opportunities rigorously

  • Closing new ARR and contributing directly to revenue targets

  • Working with Marketing to refine ICPs, messaging, and objections

  • Feeding real market insight back into Product and GTM strategy

This is not a passive AE role.

You’ll be expected to think, challenge, and improve how we sell.

Who this role is for

This role is ideal if you are:

  • An experienced SaaS AE with strong SMB or mid-market experience

  • Sharp on discovery, value-based selling, and objection handling

  • Commercially minded - you understand how deals actually get done

  • Comfortable with ambiguity and change

  • Someone who enjoys building as well as closing

Professional fluency in both German and English is essential. You’ll be leading customer conversations across the DACH region while working closely with our English-speaking Product, Marketing, and GTM teams.

Stora is building the operating system for self storage, and in the process, revolutionizing a worldwide industry.

In just under a year we’ve launched a full self-service platform that enables storage operators worldwide to create their own website, accept online payments, automate entry to their facilities, and much more. Dozens of operators have already seen the value of Stora and become paying customers, but there’s a tonne more value we want to add. That’s why we’ve raised capital, to grow our small, five-strong team, and speed up the development of the Stora product.

The Origin Story

It all began back in June 2019, when our CEO Gavin decided to open a self storage facility in Portadown. His goal was to make his business as automated as possible but he couldn’t find the software package to make it happen. So he worked with a few of the founding team to hack together something that just about did what he needed. It worked a treat, and the facility filled up quickly.

The following April Gavin decided to share what he’d achieved with the industry via a blog article detailing how he automated his self storage business. It turned out lots of other self storage operators wanted to do the same thing and use his software. Unfortunately, it wasn’t exactly the white-label platform it needed to be. So we started again and Stora was born.

The Product

Stora is a Ruby on Rails app with a sprinkling of Stimulus JS. The easiest way to describe it is “the Shopify of Self Storage”. It has a Backoffice where operators can manage their business, a Storefront they can customize to market and sell as they see fit, and a customer portal where all those people clamoring for space can manage their bookings.

The scope beyond that is wide reaching. From native apps to marketplaces. Maybe there’s even hardware in our future… If you like the sound of working on an exciting product like this, then now’s the time to join. The Company
