We're looking for a versatile Principal Cloud Solution Architect to lead our mission of delivering exceptional customer success through innovative cloud solutions. You'll be a trusted advisor and technical innovator-designing enterprise-grade cloud architectures, implementing cutting-edge solutions, and driving digital transformation for global customers.
As a "jack of all trades" technologist, you'll balance hands-on implementation with strategic architecture, mentor teams, optimize costs, and own end-to-end customer delivery. Your expertise should span Microsoft Azure, multi-cloud platforms, AI/ML solutions, security frameworks, and modern workplace technologies.
Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture & Design
- Design and architect enterprise cloud solutions across Azure IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and multi-cloud environments (Azure & AWS)
- Follow industry-standard design frameworks (TOGAF, CAF, Azure Landing Zones, AWS Well-Architected Framework)
- Conduct infrastructure assessments and develop optimization strategies
- Create security-first, scalable, and cost-efficient architecture designs
AI/ML & Innovation
- Design and deploy AI/ML solutions using Azure AI Services, Azure Machine Learning, and Cognitive Services
- Implement Microsoft Copilot and Agentic AI solutions for enterprise scenarios
- Build practical AI proof-of-concepts and production-ready implementations
Hands-on Implementation
- Deploy cloud infrastructure, modern workplace solutions (M365, Intune, Entra ID), and security services
- Implement automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, Terraform, ARM/Bicep, and IaC practices
- Build integration solutions connecting cloud, on-premises, and third-party systems
- Lead DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code
Security & Governance
- Design Zero Trust architectures and implement industry-standard security controls
- Establish governance frameworks and compliance policies (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA)
- Deploy Azure Sentinel, Microsoft Defender suite, and security monitoring solutions
- Conduct threat modeling and vulnerability assessments
Customer Engagement & Delivery
- Lead technical conversations with executives and IT leadership
- Own end-to-end project delivery from discovery through implementation
- Conduct technical workshops and knowledge transfer activities
- Manage customer relationships, expectations, and project timelines
Leadership & Optimization
- Mentor and develop technical teams with focus on skill growth
- Drive cost optimization and FinOps initiatives
- Own project management and efficient 360-degree tracking
- Contribute to departmental profitability and revenue growth

- Azure networking (vNet, ExpressRoute, VPN, Azure Firewall, Load Balancing)
- Entra ID (Azure AD), Hybrid Identity, Conditional Access, SSO
- Azure security services (Sentinel, Defender for Cloud, Key Vault)
- Modern Workplace: M365, Intune, Entra ID, Microsoft Defender suite
Multi-Cloud & Infrastructure
- Solution design experience across Azure and AWS
- Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, File Services
- Linux administration (Ubuntu, CentOS)
- Virtualization, Storage, Backup & Disaster Recovery
- Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, firewalls, VPN, routing)
AI/ML & Automation
- AI/ML deployment experience on Azure (Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, Azure ML)
- Microsoft Copilot implementations and Agentic AI patterns
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates, Bicep, Azure Policy)
- Strong scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python, YAML)
- CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
Security, Governance & Leadership
- Security architecture (Zero Trust, defense-in-depth, threat modeling)
- Governance frameworks and regulatory compliance knowledge
- Project management and team leadership capabilities
- Excellent communication skills (technical and executive level)
- Self-motivated with continuous learning mindset and ability to work across global time zones
Certifications (Preferred)
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
- Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Security Fundamentals
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
- Azure AI Engineer Associate
- Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert
- TOGAF, ITIL, PMP, or equivalent
Experience
- Proven track record with US/EMEA customers across multiple industries
- Team leadership experience (3-10 engineers)
- Successful multi-cloud migrations and deployments
- Cost optimization and FinOps project experience
- Regulatory compliance project experience (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
