We are currently seeking an experienced, technically-minded Implementation Manager with proven expertise managing complex technology integrations for enterprise Restaurant, Retail, or C-Store Brands. The ideal candidate will excel at orchestrating multi-party technical projects, building trusted relationships with both marketing and technology stakeholders, and translating business objectives into successful technical implementations. This position reports to the VP of Operations. The role can be located anywhere in the continental United States. Travel will be required but is limited to some strategic implementation kickoffs, technical discovery sessions and project launch events.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary project leader for new merchant implementations or current client expansion projects; coordinating cross-functional resources across Sparkfly and client organizations
- Lead technical discovery sessions with Sparkfly Solutions Architects and client marketing/technology teams to design implementation strategies that maximize their digital marketing investment
- Understand architected integration solutions across complex technology ecosystems including Point of Sale systems, online ordering platforms, brand apps, CRM/CDP systems, and marketing communication channels (email, SMS, digital and print advertising)
- Identify technology touchpoints and integration opportunities, tracking project requirements and technical dependencies
- Create comprehensive Statements of Work (SOWs) that clearly define project scope, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, tracking milestones, dependencies, and critical path activities
- Proactively manage client expectations regarding project timing, technical capabilities, and implementation complexity
- Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with client stakeholders, demonstrating transparency when communicating project challenges or timeline adjustments
- Navigate complex technical discussions with confidence, clearly explaining evolving project variables and their business impact
- Partner closely with internal Technical Services, Product, and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless client handoffs and ongoing platform success
- Monitor implementation health metrics and proactively address risks that could impact project delivery
- Maintain expert-level knowledge of Sparkfly's platform capabilities, integration patterns, and technical requirements
- Advocate for client implementation needs internally, providing Product and Technology teams with insights to improve onboarding processes
Requirements & Qualifications:
- Minimum 5+ years of project management and/or client-facing implementation experience in marketing SaaS or technology solutions, preferably serving multi-unit Restaurant, Retail, or C-Store industries
- Proven track record managing complex, multi-party technical integration projects from kickoff through successful deployment
- Demonstrated ability to build trusted relationships with marketing and technology stakeholders during high-stakes implementation projects
- Strong technical acumen with ability to understand integration architectures and translate technical complexity into clear business communication
- Excellent client-facing communication skills, comfortable delivering difficult messages with transparency and confidence
- Experience creating project documentation including SOWs, project plans, technical requirements, and status reports
- Superior written and verbal communication skills with ability to adapt messaging for technical and non-technical audiences
- Excellent time management skills and proven ability to manage evolving queues of requests across multiple concurrent projects
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail
- Ability to balance competing client demands with broader business priorities

- Must be legally eligible to work in the US
- Accommodate a flexible schedule. Our standard office hours are 8:30 – 5 PM EST Monday through Friday. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required to support implementation milestones, though this is infrequent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- MarTech industry experience with knowledge of marketing technology ecosystems
- PMP Certification or equivalent project management credentials
- Familiarity with Point-of-Sale systems and restaurant/retail technology infrastructure
- Experience with CRM platforms and customer success tools
